The Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing is one of the world's most respected dance examination boards. ISTD graded work gives dancers a clear ladder of technique and artistry, with each grade building carefully on the last.

We are a fully qualified school, registered with the ISTD and ITDA faculties. Dancers who want a formal pathway can work towards recognised exams; dancers who just want to dance are celebrated exactly as they are.

Exam work is woven into our regular classes, so preparation feels like dancing, not cramming.
ITDA
The International Theatre Dance Association examines across theatre dance styles, giving our tap, modern and theatre dancers a recognised structure to progress through at their own pace.
Exams are optional
Not every child wants a certificate, and that is fine. Exam entry is always a conversation between teacher, parent and dancer. Children who prefer to dance for the joy of it get the same attention, the same shows and the same place in the family.

How it works
The path from first class to first certificate
Settle and enjoy
New dancers join the right class for their age and simply enjoy dancing. Technique builds naturally, week by week.
Invited to prepare
When a dancer is ready, their teacher talks to parents about exam preparation. There is never pressure, only invitation.
Exam day and beyond
Dancers sit their exam with familiar faces around them, celebrate their result, and start looking up at the next grade.
