Classes

Six disciplines, one happy school

Ballet, tap, modern, acrobatics, street dance and musical theatre, from first pre-school steps at age 2.5 through to exam classes and show casts.

What we teach

Find the class they will not stop talking about

Most dancers start with one style and add more as their confidence grows. Whatever they choose, the first class is free.

Ballet

Ballet is where technique begins. Our youngest dancers learn through story, music and imagination, while older students build the posture, turnout and control that underpin every other style. Dancers who want a formal pathway can work towards graded exams with our ISTD and ITDA registered faculty structure.

Tap

Shuffles, time steps and big finishes. Tap sharpens musicality and rhythm like nothing else, and children love hearing their own progress week by week. It pairs beautifully with ballet or modern, and tap numbers are always a highlight of our shows.

Modern

Modern is the all-rounder: leaps, turns, floor work and performance quality set to contemporary music. It builds strength and expression, and it is the style our festival and competition dancers lean on most.

Acrobatics

Bridges, balances, cartwheels and beyond, taught progressively so every trick is earned safely. Acro develops core strength and flexibility that transform a dancer's work in every other class. Watch our social pages for regular acro skills highlights.

Street Dance

Commercial choreography, freezes and freestyle confidence. Street is often the way in for children who do not see themselves as "dancey", and then it becomes the class they refuse to miss.

Musical Theatre

Singing, acting and dance rolled into one class. Musical theatre students learn to hold a stage, tell a story and project to the back row. Our dancers have performed at dance festivals, competitions and West End performances.

Pre-school classes

Little ones can start from age 2.5 with pre-school classes built around music, movement and make-believe. Short, warm and wonderfully giggly, they are the perfect first step into dance.

Timetable

When and where classes run

Classes run at both venues during Suffolk school term time. The full, live timetable sits in our ClassManager booking portal; the tables below show how the week is organised. Rows marked "sample" illustrate the structure and will be confirmed when you enquire.

The practical bits

Uniform, fees and term dates

Uniform

Uniform becomes part of class after your child's first half term, so there is nothing to buy before you know they love it. Our branded range is supplied by Rock the Dragon, with additional items from Dancing Daisy and dance shoes via our dance store.

Fees

Fees are charged per half term (five or six weeks), invoiced before the half term begins. Payment is by bank transfer or cash; we do not accept cheques, and refunds are not given once term has started. Current fee amounts are published for families on our booking portal.

Term dates

Our terms mirror Suffolk school term dates, so classes fit neatly around school life and family holidays. Term calendars are shared with families through the ClassManager portal.

Not sure which class fits?

Tell us your child's age and what they love doing, and we will suggest the right starting class. The first one is free.
